Desk copies are for instructors who have already adopted a University Press of Mississippi publication for a course and have added it to their course syllabus as a required or recommended text. A complimentary paperback format (or hardcover format, if the book is unavailable in paperback) and/or online access to a digital copy of the book is available to verified instructors to aid them in course preparations.
Examination copies are for instructors who are considering adopting a University Press of Mississippi publication for a course, and they need to obtain a copy of the book to help them determine if the book will be added to their course syllabus as a required or recommended text. A discounted paperback format (or hardcover format, if the book is unavailable in paperback) and/or complimentary (but temporary) online access to a digital examination/inspection copy of the book is available to verified instructors for this purpose. A maximum of three different titles may be requested per course, per semester. And they may all be included on the same request form.
